The Project Manager/DR Analyst will be responsible for managing Disaster Recovery (DR) projects that includes supporting the development and maintenance of DR Plans, the Testing of these DR Plans, the compliance with Customer Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements, overall tracking and reporting of services to meet deadlines. The role will also be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Responsible for managing small scale end-to-end project management lifecycle with our customers and vendors � Initiating, planning, execution, post reporting
Ensure the Planning team achieves their service goals and meets contractual performance/delivery requirements
Understand DR recovery strategies and ensure consistency with recovery checklists and plans
Understand ITIL Change, Incident, Service Continuity, and comply with ITIL principles
Provide a wide range of DR related services and reports to the client as required by contract
Develop final report/recommendations and work with stakeholders, DR Coordinators, and DR recovery teams to ensure tracking and resolution of DR exercise issues in a timely manner
Support the DR Coordinator activities, and ensure that supporting processes and procedures are developed that achieve the overall SLA requirements
Support DR Coordinators during actual recoveries for activation of the DR Plans, and ensure they are successful in following established procedures and achieving overall recovery success
Be flexible during DR exercise week to take on an evening or overnight shift
Learn and support a DR planning software Tool
Skills and certifications required
- 1-3 years of experience with Project Management
- Bachelor�s degree or higher
- Proficient in MS Office � Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio
- Strong customer and/or vendor relationship management skills
Excellent analytical & technical skills; planning and organizational skills; multi-tasking skills
Good interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
Must be able to demonstrate a level of maturity & patience while under stressful situations
A proven ability to develop positive working relationships in a distributed team, experience collaborating with team members is valued
Skills plus (not required)
- PMP � Project Management Professional Certification
- DRII ABCP or CBCP Certification
- Exposure to COOP or DR planning
The position is located in Austin, TX
