042766 – Solution Architect 4

Job Description:

Capgemini America Inc. has multiple openings for the position of Solution Architect 4 based out of its Chicago, IL U.S. headquarters.  The employee may also work at various unanticipated locations.  S/he will perform the following duties:  assess a project’s technical feasibility, as well as implementation risks; design and implement a project’s technical architecture; define the structure of a system, its interfaces, and the principles that guide its organization, software design and implementation; design and validate complex architecture and ensure its successful implementation; identify and test several IT scenarios based on the given business environment; work as a stream lead at CIO/CTO level in major client organizations; lead Capgemini operations relating to market development and/or service delivery excellence; manage and direct multiple projects or a single, large, and complex project; deliver on defined revenue targets w/in a particular industry or service area; initiate and maintain client relationships; and share practice management and administration responsibilities including overall management of project teams and development of staff.

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering (any), or related field plus at least 7 years of progressively-responsible, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or as Solution Architect, Technical Architect, Senior Development Lead, Senior Configuration Lead, Senior Integration Lead or related IT position. The applicant must also have 1) any period of professional experience with all aspects of product development and implementation including planning, documentation, use case creation, technical design, product configuration, defect management and reporting, application deployment; 2) any period of professional experience defining revenue targets within the insurance or service industry; 3) any period of professional experience identifying and resolving IT issues within specific business environments; 4) any period of professional experience overseeing IT projects; 5) any period of professional experience assessing the technical feasibility and implementation risks of projects; and 6) any period of professional experience overseeing a team of IT professionals.
