039392-Cassandra Database Administrator / Engineer


• Cassandra / NoSQL DBA primarily responsible for NoSQL databases (Cassandra, DynamoDB)
• Will be part of Cassandra operations team, responsible for performing Cassandra cluster health checks in multiple regions and recommend corrective actions
• Creation of Casandra (CQL & Spark) scripts to perform operational activities, such as data cleanup, synchronize data across nodes and data repairs 
• Planning and execution of Cassandra upgrades
• Review OpsCenter Alerts and take necessary actions
• Collaborate with teams to understand their data access patterns, recommend data models and create data structures to comply with NoSQL standards
Required Skills:
• 8+ years of IT and Data management experience (Non-Data Warehouse and Hadoop experience)
• 2+ years in Architecting, Designing and Operations on Cassandra Database
• Hands on experience in managing multi Cassandra datacenters, with Analytics and OpsCenter
• Hands on experience in Apache Spark with Cassandra
• Ability to design data partitioning and keys for read and write efficiency 
• Must have implementation experience in handling high growth data stores
• Exposure to data migration across Cassandra data centers and outside Cassandra
• Exposure to one or more NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, AWS DynamoDB is a plus
• Good knowledge of cloud implementations (AWS, Azure)
• Exposure to automation tools (Jenkins, Terraform, etc.)
• Good written and verbal communications skills
Candidates should be flexible / willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment.
