At Capgemini, we believe our success is achieved and sustained through our people and their expertise. That’s why we support our people in the development of their competencies and capabilities from the day they are hired throughout their career, thereby ensuring that we maximize the potential for our clients in a market characterized by rapid technological innovation and disruption.
New Hire Orientation
Most new joiners participate in a New Hire Orientation session at our Rosemont, IL training facility. There, you will learn what to expect from a career with us, which skills will help you be successful, and how to navigate Capgemini. The duration of your onboarding may vary with your alignment and level in your practice. However, our primary objective across all orientation classes is to provide a formal introduction to the company. We understand the importance of community and are happy to help you gain the knowledge needed to excel with a strong network.
As a follow up to onboarding, you will receive an email from our Learning team with a set of virtual courses to complete, as well as a welcome email confirming your performance reviewer, human-resource business partner, and staffing contacts (if applicable) to help you develop a personalized development plan.
We are committed to your growth and offer many different opportunities for you to continue to develop new competencies throughout your career – New Hire Orientation is just the beginning!
Your career matters to us
Your career matters to you, and it’s important to us, too. Because your goals and needs are constantly evolving, we encourage you to take advantage of our personal development, training, and career-management programs. They enable you to grow with us over the long term.
Global Competency Frameworks help to identify and measure an individual’s attributes and skills against the competencies required to perform at a particular grade for each role. The models provide our people with guidance on what roles exist at Capgemini, and what is expected and required in order to perform in a job or to move up or across different jobs in the organization. Competencies are independent of organizational structures, to allow mobility of our people.
North America’s Learning & Development team (NA L&D) partners with Capgemini University to support business acceleration (by prioritizing the right content to the right people at the right time), respond to client needs by ensuring our people have the right capabilities, and support the ongoing employability and growth of our people.
We bring our values and a collaborative, multicultural approach to life and engage our learners virtually, locally, or at our world-class campuses in Les Fontaines, France, and Pune, India.
The Group’s online learning management system, MyLearning, is open to all employees for informal, just-in-time learning and for structured learning events. MyLearning contains all the Group programs and, for many regions, local curricula. We know the importance of delivering a modern digital-age learning experience for all Capgemini Group employees and are therefore continuously investing in content and user experience enhancements of MyLearning. Our learning content can be found and accessed anywhere and anytime, including through mobile devices.
