"I am proud to work at Capgemini because of the flexibility the company offers to shape one’s career"

Tell us about your role. What does a day in your life at Capgemini look like?

I am responsible for industrialization and automation at the Group level. My day revolves around shaping strategic transformation projects for industrialization and automation. These are planned for implementation next year

What’s the best thing about working at Capgemini?

The best thing about Capgemini is the entrepreneurship culture, where every individual gets ample opportunities to shape the business outcome of the company.

What makes you proud to work at Capgemini?

I am proud to work at Capgemini because of the flexibility the company offers to shape one’s career. In my current role, I am exposed to the strategy, improving competitivity, and learning from the transformation that I initiate for the top management of the company. I enjoy managing senior stakeholders and the exposure my role allows me.

Once you find enjoyment in your role, you will put all your energy and heart into it.

How are you working towards the future you want?

I am working towards my future with clear goals and a roadmap to reach those goals. During one of my first projects, I found it difficult to maintain a work life balance, but I am happy that I persevered, and this experience taught me that much. My contribution to this project was recognized and earned me a promotion. I gave it a shot, and it was worth it.

What advice would you give to someone joining Capgemini?

Do your best at your current job, focus on it, start mastering it. In the meantime, layout a short-term, mid-term and long-term plan for your career, look for roles you will do in the future. I developed software, technology, and business skills along with my career. For that, you may need a mentor or coach, or even multiple mentors. To develop diverse skills, you will need to find this support while preparing your career plan. Every day is a journey towards your end goal.
