  • How do you feel in the morning getting up and going to work at Capgemini?

The people I work with and have worked with are the reason I am here, coupled with the variety of engagements I’ve had make every new project interesting.

  • What do you love about being an architect?

The variety of work, people, stakeholders I engage with, in particular with integration, as there are many varied third parties, each with their own challenges.

  • How does Capgemini empower you to master your skills as an architect?

I started my Capgemini career in support, later moved to be a developer, then technical team lead, and then architect. Following this route gave me fantastic grounding as I think it’s important to understand each aspect of a project lifecycle and the roles involved, especially as a delivery architect.

  • How does Capgemini give you the autonomy to make decisions?

Capgemini actively encourages you to develop ideas and knowledge share. You are very much in control of your own career and have the freedom to shape it based on the roles and experiences you have.

  • What do you love about the way of working at Capgemini?

Capgemini is very much team work, although there is a grade structure and processes to follow as with any large organization, everyone is approachable and wants to support each other.

  • How does this all combine for you to have passion for what you do?

As an integration architect I am naturally in the middle of all aspects of the project. I need to be up to speed with latest technologies and standards as well as having extensive stakeholder management and communication skills. Ultimately, it’s the people that make projects work, and it’s working with a huge variety people that gives me the buzz.

  • What was your most memorable moment in your Capgemini journey?

Every project has had great moments that I would otherwise not have been able to experience –  for example, top of the control tower at Heathrow or working with the team in India for a week. However, the year that changed a lot of things for me was when I was part of the Future Leaders Program.

  • What are you an Ace at?

I’m an ace at being able to help business and technical people come together and understand each other.
