The main reason I came back was because Capgemini is always innovating in new areas.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>When I initially decided to apply and join Capgemini as an experienced professional it was because of their global reputation within IT, system and enterprise architecture, an area that I&#8217;ve always been interested in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I think I am perhaps one of many consultants that have worked for Capgemini, decided to leave, and then returned at a later date to take on a new challenge. The main reason I came back was because Capgemini is always innovating in new areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-tell-us-about-your-role-what-does-a-day-within-security-architecture-look-like-at-capgemini\"><strong>Tell us about your role. What does a day within security architecture look like at Capgemini?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>In my current role I typically work with three types of tasks. As security adviser, I usually provide advice and recommendations to the middle and senior management of clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a security architect, I typically support transformation projects where security plays a significant role in the success of the client\u2019s business outcome. Day-to-day activities include understanding the current and future requirements and capabilities, the value proposition, the roadmap, and the solution architecture. I may also support the client in translating the business requirements to the functional and non-functional requirements for a solution which mitigates the security risks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In my experience, clients may have a solution architecture or a clear understanding of the functional and non-functional requirements but need a second opinion and guidance on best practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No day is the same. For many clients the tempo and sense of urgency to implement security solutions has increased. It is challenging work that requires commitment from the consultants and engagement from the clients. Cyber security is now more important than ever. It\u2019s an important job that has a great meaning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-does-capgemini-support-your-development\"><strong>How does Capgemini support your development?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Capgemini offers significant opportunities for professional development by providing opportunities for training and certifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Everyone has an opportunity to work on international projects if they are qualified and interested \u2013 and I think international experience is beneficial for professional development and for establishing an international network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-characterizes-the-people-and-culture-at-capgemini\"><strong>What characterizes the people and culture at Capgemini?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Capgemini has a culture of supporting each other when there are challenges to solve. There is a significant focus on clients and business outcomes for our clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Consultants are keen to help clients and each other. Senior consultants are willing to support and <strong>mentor less experienced consultants.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-advice-would-you-give-to-someone-joining-capgemini\"><strong>What advice would you give to someone joining Capgemini?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Since Capgemini is such a large and complex organization \u2013 my advice to anyone joining Capgemini would be to connect with the more senior consultants who can help them establish a profession and social network.
