Julia Hallen, Consultant, Future of Technology

“Joining Capgemini Invent has been both challenging, exciting, and very fun! My learning curve has been incredibly steep, pushing me to perform in new topics and roles quickly, while at the same time always having access to support if needed”

Julia is a Consultant in our Future of Technology capability unit and based at our Gothenburg office

I have been a part of the Capgemini Invent family since autumn 2019. After studying Automation & Mechatronics at Chalmers University of Technology, gaining an M.Sc. Engineering in Product Development.

Before Chalmers, I worked for almost two years in the FinTech industry. Being curious by nature, I wanted to understand more about the complex relationship between IT, Engineering & Business and decided to apply to Chalmers to become an Engineer. After a couple exciting years with a lot of focus on the technical parts, I became more and more interested in the business side of things. And that is how eventually management consulting and Capgemini Invent came into the picture.

What made you decide to apply to and join Capgemini Invent?

Having both the more traditional management consultant roles and responsibilities, while at the same time being at the forefront of the technical development, Capgemini Invent provide a truly interesting and exciting work environment. In addition, a network of super friendly and helpful colleagues all over the world, proven methodologies as well as exciting career paths.

In my current role as Consultant, I have gotten the opportunity to try out different roles and projects from a variety of industry sectors. As a new joiner, there is a great focus on learning the “Invent” way of working and to grow into the management consultant role. Currently, I’m involved in a larger and exciting transformation project at a telco client. In addition, I am part of a team driving Capgemini Invent’s Connected Services offering in Sweden.

In our internal Business & Analysis Group (BAG) I belong to a team called ‘Employer Branding’, where we plan and organize our student activities and career fairs. There is also always opportunities to support with business development, such as proposals for new projects, client meetings and material, which provides further acceleration to my career and development.
