Job Description

You are a developer with experience from Java on a Linux or Cloud platform. The new solution will contain functionality in the customer picking and packaging area of the IKEA store and you will be part of forming the new technical implementation. You are also experienced in and motivated by working with all aspects from development to operations (DevOps) and it is an advantage if you have experience in setting up a DevOps environment for equivalent technology framework. As a person you are eager to learn, happy to share your knowledge and able to efficiently communicate with other development related roles in a cross functional team. You have experience from and enjoy working according to agile principles. We are on our way to switch from waterfall to agile ways of working. The development teams are working with scrum in three week sprints.The development will not be done in MHS but will be very closely linked to existing teams, application, UI and database to ensure a seamless experience for our users. Therefore you also need to be open to learn and understand the legacy technology of MHS when needed. MHS Development Centre is in the middle of a complex task to modernize the application, platform, working methods and development environment. This will not be a short journey and if you are open minded you can help us to make this transition easier.

Three most important things:

  1. System development back-end with experience from Java                                                                      
  2. DevOps experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment to Cloud platform knowledge
  3. Experience from working in an agile team consisting of experts and more junior Developers according to Scrum methodology
