The highly competitive and fast changing telecom landscape is creating the need for business transformation in the telecom industry. But change projects are inherently complex to manage.

Capgemini Consulting and the TME Strategy Lab, in cooperation with the Economist Intelligence Unit, conducted a cross-industry survey to identify the critical factors required to ensure successful implementation of business transformation projects. Our analysis suggests that while change is becoming an inherent part of telco strategy and planning, the ability to achieve change effectively is less consistent. Senior management support and leadership, as well developing transformation skills within the employee base, will be crucial to accomplishing successful implementation.
