Since then, he has also been a member of the Group Executive Board.<\/h2><p class=\"intro-para-content\">From 2016 through to 2019, Fernando was Capgemini Group\u2019s Chief of Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships (GSIP). From 2014 to 2016, Fernando was Capgemini\u2019s Chief Digital Officer and prior to this he was in charge of Capgemini\u2019s Mobile Solutions global practices.<br><br>Before joining Capgemini, Fernando was Founder, CEO and Chairman of Abaco Mobile, Inc., an Atlanta-based software company that provided enterprise mobile software solutions for more than 21 years. In July 2010, Abaco and Capgemini began a transaction in which key Abaco assets were acquired by Capgemini.<br><br>In 2000, Fernando was rewarded as one of the 100 most influential US Hispanic business leaders by Hispanic Business magazine. He is also a former beneficiary of Ernst &amp; Young\u2019s Entrepreneur of the Year Award. During his tenure at Abaco, his efforts positioned it as one of the few US Hispanic technology companies that achieved global success.<br><br>Fernando has a background in business, economics, and law.
