Tower Lead - Cloud

What do you need to start?

  • 5+ years solution architecture background with expertise in Infrastructure and Applications.
  • Focus on architecting Public and Hybrid Cloud solutions, producing multi-tier, high-availability infrastructure architectures in a cloud environment adhering to DR and availability recommended practices.
  • A deep understanding of AWS/Azure/GCP platform features, capabilities and how to optimise these for an engagement.
  • Can quickly assess technical feasibility and develop proposals in line with customer requirements.
  • Knowledge of data centre strategy, outsourcing capacity, utilization, disaster recovery, and migration & consolidation and best practices.
  • Strong infrastructure experience such as virtualization technologies, operating systems, platform migration, data management and networking.
  • Expertise in pricing Public Cloud Services.
  • Understanding and input into contractual documents.
  • French - communicative in speech and writing - must have.

  • General
    • Background from either run or transformation within the specific portfolio tower
    • Strong connection to portfolio team 
    • Motivated to develop across breadth of the tower to expand technical skills
  • Customer engagement
    • Strong client facing skills, able to clearly articulate tower solution and roadmap to client face-offs
    • Presentation and writing skills – to be able to articulate their tower solution
  • Management
    • Leadership of the virtual team working within Portfolio tower solution; ability to coach, steer, challenge, guide – support in case of challenges
    • Strong team leader to manage and coach team through tough deadlines 
    • Stakeholder management, engagement and socialisation within the management related to the Portfolio area
  • Technical/Portfolio
    • Strong technical depth in Portfolio tower
    • Good understanding of vendor and partner landscape for the tower, including Capgemini preferred partners and products
    • Ability to perform an Enterprise Architect level consulting/advisory and due diligence type work for complex deals to ensure smooth transition to actual delivery teams 
  • Commercial
    • Ability to understand and identify non-standard requirements and/or draft Statements of Work / Service Level Agreements and able to review service credits/penalties for their Portfolio tower 
    • Risk identification, treatment and management
  • Financial
    • Costing skills and understanding of competitive benchmarks / metrics for Portfolio tower

 

What duties will help you grow?

  • End-to-end responsibility for the solution across transition, run and transformation in Cloud Portfolio tower portfolio area
  • Responsible for development of the tower solution related elements with support of Solution specialists and SMEs
  • Ensures all client requirements within scope are analysed and solutioned
  • Works with other tower owners to align solutions
  • Provides detailed cost input including inputs from SMEs and ensures that tagging is in line with strategy set by Solution Lead & DA.
  • Identifies cost behaviours of cost lines and relationship to client unit pricing
  • Works with other members of the team to align on common assumptions and to avoid gaps and overlaps
  • Clearly articulates the basis of any subcontractor/supplier (e.g. OSS provide or software supplier) quotes, including assumptions and exclusions and the validity period of pricing – works directly with subcontractor 

  • Solutions to the client SLA’s, and documents/agrees any exceptions from the standards
  • Input to Solution Artefacts (Cost systems, RAIDE, Solution Approval pack etc)
  • Reviews and inputs to the contract schedules, SoW, SLA etc
  • Contributes to proposal writing - aligned to sales strategy, themes, scoring mechanism
  • Supports Commercial Lead with Draft/mark-up of the schedules relating your part of the solution (SoW, SLA etc.)
  • Supports Solution Lead and contribute to the Sales to Delivery Handover (StDH)
  • Brings in market intelligence from a portfolio “competitiveness” standpoint both from the global and regional markets. Key areas are analysing the client buying patterns, price points and third-party analyst views on the portfolio.    
  • Good grasp on similar portfolios available in the market with the ability to analyse, stich & customize some of the core portfolio services & solutions, as per specific client needs (not falling under the standard portfolio services & offers)
