Kaja, what is your role on the team?
Boss… just kiddin’. I have invaluable pleasure to manage wonderful team of smart people. We are like a rugby team. It requires close contact, cooperation and respect to other players without whom the game has no sense. Our main goal is to get the points by try (so deploy automation) . And sometimes we have a scrum that could be understood both as a rugby term as well as framework for project management. Likewise, I am responsible for successful delivery of automation projects for our clients that allows me to be up to date with the newest technologies and cooperate with people from all corners of the world.
How long have you been working there?
Since the beginning
And what are the three key words that best describe your team?
Automation Architects Team! Automation – as we are working in contact with the newest technologies available on the market that improve business efficiency. Architects – we are designing the future of our clients with automation solutions… as well as our nowness – we have real impact on the way we work and the direction in which we develop ourselves. Team – in projects we usually work as individual experts, but we can always count on colleagues and we are obsessed with best practice & knowledge sharing with other team members.
How is the atmosphere within the team?
Usually, it’s hot as we work fast and furious, but it also depends on who manages the air conditioning.
What challenges are ahead of you?
Make full use of all the opportunities my work is giving me…and do not go crazy!
What is the team’s mission?
Impossible we do immediately, miracles take a little longer – everybody says that, we put it in practice.
What do you like most about your team?
Diversity! Variety of skills, experience and heads exploding with infinite possibilities.
What separates your team from the other?
The same as above. It’s explosive mixture of different personalities, ideas, skills, knowledge and background in different areas. Despite of that… and thanks to that, we can bring together great results.
What technologies do you use on daily bases?
You will be surprised but we mainly use the technologies for ordinary corporation guys such as Outlook and Word. We just put a little bit of magic there. There are also some tools needed to bring robots and AI into life. But the strongest technology that is used on the daily basis is cooperation.
How in your opinion will the Automation Factory branch be developing?
The answer is short: very fast – almost every day new technologies appear on the market and new customers get to know the advantages of automation. They want to invite robots into their companies immediately and expect the scalable solutions, so we need to deliver complex projects with usage of multiple automation technologies.
Will robots take Capgemini over?
No worries, we won’t allow them to do it
At what are robots better than humans?
They do not fall asleep, they are not sick and they do what you ask them without complaints.
Do you name your robots/automation?
It works as in real life – when client is expecting a baby-robot they start thinking about name. It seems that some clients prefer traditional names as Halina or Gustav, others are inspired by cartoon characters so we have also Optimus Prime or Mega Tron.
How did you come up with the idea to join the team? What convinced you to join?
I was always trying to work smart not hard by implementing improvements to my daily work in accountancy. One day I have just decided to get out of my comfort zone and accidentally fell in love with automation.
What skills should a Automation Architect have?
Open mind and seeker nature – the rest can be gained by trainings and project experience with the support of teammates.
What does Automation Architect day look like?
Favorite answer of Automation Architect is it depends. There are no two days that go the same. The only stable thing at our work is change… and maybe coffee in the morning, no matter which place of world you currently are in.
Does working on this position demand mobility?
Yes, as it is the most efficient way of cooperation. In addition, we have a good opportunity to explore the world. Currently due to mobility limitations we are using various tools to bring a little bit of joy to our workshops with clients
How much time do you spend with your client? As much as needed.
Are there any interesting places that you have visited, thanks to your job?
Till now I have already encircled world with my business travels to the middle of nowhere and other interesting places. Still I am trying to reach for the moon. Even if I miss, I will land among the stars.
