What does a day in your life at Capgemini look like?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I am the Business Coordinator for CIS Managed Services NZ and I work in our amazing Wellington office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have a bit of a routine which helps to give me a decent start every morning, A cold glass of water, some breathing exercises and thinking of three things I am thankful for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My working day is very different each day, I have core tasks and my role is varied, from financials and assisting with forecasting and monthly invoicing to quality control of tasks and cases within our managed services space. You can also find me helping out the SMO team where required, with reporting. I have a great rapport with my direct line manager. He&#8217;s always keen to see how I&#8217;m doing and to enlighten me if there is something more i need to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When things get a little tough or frustrating I think of my three thankful things and it helps to reset me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the working from home hybrid way of working I have elected to predominantly work from the office everyday, for me its important that my work life balance is &#8220;work is at work and home is at home&#8221;, knowing I can work at home if I need to is a bit of blessing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What\u2019s the best thing about working at Capgemini?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>He aha te mea nui o te ao? (What is the greatest thing in the world?) \u2026 He Tangata (The People)<br>I grew up with this as part of my cultural background and learning as well as a part of my ethnicity.<br>I have always been a people person, I like to meet new people, listen to them and hear what they have to say, &#8220;when you do that you will learn&#8221; that what my nan used to say.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The best thing about Capgemini is the people, I have met some of the most amazing people and I am looking forward to meeting more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How are you working towards the future you want?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ve always been happy working, I have been doing that since I was eighteen. I am fifty something now and knowing what I know, and what I had to do, to learn what I needed to when I needed to it, I can say hand on heart its been an amazing, fulfilling journey so far and it is still on going. After so many years I know that my niche or my comfortable position is that my skills lie in support, I am a pretty darn good support person if I am honest, it is where I am happiest and where I feel I add the most value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What advice would you give to someone joining Capgemini?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Be courageous to try &#8211; Kia maia ki te whakamatau<br>Be patient &#8211; Kia manawanui<br>Be respectful &#8211; Kia whakaute<br>Most importantly \u2026 Be yourself &#8211; Kia koe, because no one can tell you that you are doing that
