Zodat je product, service of proces relevant is voor de gebruiker ervan. Ze paste deze visie toe bij een groot bedrijf in de healthcare-sector.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-waardevolle-oplossingen\">Waardevolle oplossingen<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Het leukste aan mijn vak? Denken vanuit klantperspectief. Ik maak deel uit van het Innovation, Strategy &amp; Design-team van frog, wat onderdeel is van Capgemini Invent, en specialiseer me in venture design. Dit houdt in dat ik opdrachtgevers help bij de ontwikkeling van nieuwe businessmodellen en proposities. Daarbij onderzoeken we of proposities feasible zijn \u2013 zeg maar praktisch uitvoerbaar \u2013 en of ze viable zijn, economisch levensvatbaar. Maar wat ik misschien nog wel het interessantst vind, is of een propositie desirable is: is de oplossing waardevol voor degenen die er gebruik van moeten maken?\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Dit klantgerichte denken heb ik meegekregen tijdens mijn studie. Ik heb een bachelor in industrial design gedaan en een master in strategic product design. Daar leerde ik om de wensen en behoeften van mensen centraal te zetten. O\u00f3k de latente behoeften; mensen weten natuurlijk niet altijd wat er allemaal mogelijk is. Waar het om gaat is dat je als organisatie niet zozeer uitgaat van wat jij technisch kan, maar hoe je technologie kan inzetten om mensen een oplossing te bieden voor hun probleem.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-aansprekende-opdracht\">Aansprekende opdracht<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Deze mindset heb ik bij Capgemini eerst toegepast binnen het Digital Banking-team. Een sector die aansloot bij mijn afstudeerproject, over het belang van human centered design in de blockchain. Ik ben altijd ge\u00efnteresseerd geweest in innovatie. En hoewel de financi\u00eble wereld van buitenaf misschien een tikkeltje saai lijkt, lopen veel banken op technisch gebied juist voorop. Het zijn echte pioniers.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018De afgelopen vier maanden heb ik meegewerkt aan een project in de healthcare-sector. Een heel ander segment, ja. Ik vind het gezond om na een tijdje iets nieuws te proberen. Zo verbreed je je kennis. En het specifieke project sprak me enorm aan. Met collega\u2019s heb ik de designorganisatie van een grote opdrachtgever begeleid bij de overstap naar agile werken. Concreet hield dit in dat we geholpen hebben om multidisciplinaire dedicated agile teams te formeren die meer gestructureerd opereren en daardoor beter samenwerken om hun doelen te behalen.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-geleidelijk-proces\">Geleidelijk proces<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Het project liep al een tijdje toen ik erbij kwam. Specialisten van Capgemini op dit gebied waren het begonnen \u2013 echte agile transformatie-heroes die precies weten hoe je zo\u2019n transformatie inzet. Gelet op mijn studie ben ik aangehaakt om een brug te slaan tussen agile en design. Agile is ontwikkeld vanuit een softwareperspectief, maar designers werken heel anders dan ICT\u2019ers. Veel spontaner. Het agileplaatje past niet zomaar op deze manier van werken.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Daarom hebben we het MVO-proces ontwikkeld: waarbij MVO staat voor minimum viable organisation. Waar het op neerkomt, is dat we de organisatie in kleine stappen hebben laten toewerken naar een nieuw organisatiemodel. Vanuit de teams en programma\u2019s keken we met de medewerkers van de opdrachtgever hoe agile werken bij hun praktijk paste en hoe we de organisatie zo samen konden ontwikkelen. Zo gingen we al bij de ontwikkeling en implementatie heel agile te werk. In plaats van pats-boem een plan op tafel te gooien en te implementeren.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-aanvullende-perspectieven\">Aanvullende perspectieven<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Wat ik heb toegevoegd aan het project? Ik hoop en denk dat het een focus is op de mensen die binnen de klantorganisatie met agile aan de slag moeten. Lees: de designers. Doordat ik samenwerkte met absolute agile transformatie-experts, had ik alle ruimte om deze medewerkers te leren begrijpen. Wat speelt er bij hen? Wat is voor hen relevant? Om vervolgens samen met mijn collega\u2019s te bekijken \u2013 zij vanuit agile-perspectief, ik vanuit medewerkersperspectief \u2013 hoe we met agile een oplossing konden bieden. Daarin vulden we elkaar mooi aan.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Daarnaast kwam het natuurlijk aan op de samenwerking met de opdrachtgever. Uiteindelijk zijn het de mensen daar die de transformatie moeten volbrengen. Wij hebben ze vooral meegenomen door het proces, de juiste tools en triggers aangereikt, een kickstart gegeven. Het is nu aan de opdrachtgever om de reis te vervolgen. Een bijzonder moment. De designers hebben agile omarmd en kunnen het zelf passend maken bij hun werk. Because your product, service or process needs to be relevant for the user. She recently applied that vision in an assignment for a major company in the health care sector.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Valuable solutions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018What\u2019s the best thing about my profession? Thinking from the client\u2019s perspective. I\u2019m part of the Innovation, Strategy &amp; Design team at frog, which is part of Capgemini Invent. My specialization is \u2018venture design\u2019. That means I help clients with the development of new business models and propositions. We also study whether the propositions are feasible and if they\u2019re valid, or economically realistic. But what\u2019s probably most interesting to me, is whether a proposition is desirable: is the solution valuable for the people who will have to use it?\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018I learned that customer-oriented perspective during my studies. I have a Bachelor\u2019s in Industrial Design, and a Master\u2019s in Strategic Product Design. One of the things I learned was to focus on people\u2019s needs and desires \u2013 even their latent desires; people might not know about all of the possibilities. The important thing is that the organization shouldn\u2019t base ideas on what\u2019s technically possible, but how you can use technology to offer people a solution to their problem.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Interesting assignment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018I first applied that mindset at Capgemini within the Digital Banking team. My Master\u2019s project dealt with the sector and the importance of human-centered design in the blockchain. I\u2019ve always been interested in innovation. The financial world might look a bit boring from the outside, but a lot of banks are actually leading the way in terms of technology. They\u2019re real pioneers.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Over the past four months, I\u2019ve been working on a project in the health care sector. It\u2019s definitely a completely different sector, but I think it\u2019s healthy to try something new after a while. It\u2019s a way to expand your knowledge, and the specific project really appealed to me. My colleagues and I supervised a major client\u2019s design organization in the transition to working Agile. That involved helping form the multi-disciplinary dedicated agile teams to operate more structurally and to collaborate better to achieve their goals.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Gradual process<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018The project was already underway when I joined the team. It was started by specialists in the field at Capgemini \u2013 real Agile transformation heroes who know exactly how to implement such a transition. I joined the team to use what I learned in my studies to build a bridge between Agile and design. Agile was developed from a software perspective, but designers work a lot differently from ICT workers. They\u2019re much more spontaneous. The Agile template doesn\u2019t necessarily fit how they work.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018That\u2019s why we developed the MVO process, where MVO stands for Minimum Viable Organization. What it comes down to, is that we have the organization work towards a new organizational model in tiny steps. The teams and programs met with the client\u2019s employees to see how Agile working fits in their day-to-day practice, and how we could develop the organization together. For example, we started working Agile from the beginning of the development and implementation, rather than just slapping a plan on the table and implementing it.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Supplemental perspectives<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018What did I add to the project? I hope and believe that I contributed a focus on the people who will have to work Agile within the client\u2019s organization. In other words: the designers. I worked together with some absolute Agile transformation experts, which gave me plenty of room to focus on understanding those employees. What did they think was important? What did they think was relevant? Then my colleagues and I looked for ways to offer a solution with Agile; they from an Agile perspective, and me from the employees\u2019 perspective. So we complemented each other very well.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018And of course, the cooperation with the client was important too. Because they\u2019re the people who have to complete the transformation. We mainly guided them through the process, provided the right tools and triggers, and gave it a kick-start. Now it\u2019s the client\u2019s responsibility to complete the journey. It\u2019s a special moment. The designers embraced Agile and can use it in their work.
