Valeo launches an innovative initiative with Capgemini and Google to reduce administrative expenses

Following an initial pilot managed by Capgemini, Valeo, a leading automotive
supplier, has rolled out Google Apps Premier Edition, as well as email security and enterprise search to 30,000 employees
in 27 countries. Capgemini delivered the methodology, processes and integration
expertise behind this Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution that represents our largest win to date in partnership with
Google. As the first major professional services vendor to work with Google, Capgemini
has been ahead of the curve in enabling the adoption of SaaS by large corporations
and continues to collaborate with innovative companies to do so, most recently
signing an agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2008.

SaaS represents a quicker time to market and a more business-centric cost model
than most other software licensing models. This means that not only can the business
provision the software directly, but that the CIO can align the IT costs more
directly to the business. This can allow large enterprises to significantly reduce
their overhead costs by only paying for the services they use.
