Capgemini wins Program of the Year at Skillsoft’s Perspectives Innovation Awards

18 May 2018

Paris, May 18, 2018 – Capgemini today announced that it has received the Program of the Year award at Skillsoft’s Perspectives Innovation Awards held in Las Vegas, USA. Capgemini was recognized for its Outstanding Women in Leadership program, demonstrating the strength of the Capgemini University’s innovative learning programs and its commitment to further developing the capabilities of its female leaders.

Themed “The Age of Learning On-Demand,” Perspectives 2018 provided an opportunity for Capgemini and other attendees to examine and reward corporate learning in the digital age. In addition to the Innovation awards, this year’s program also featured numerous thought leaders discussing business challenges such as digital transformation and global training at scale.

Capgemini has taken action, through recruiting and employee engagement channels, to improve diversity across the organization. Outstanding Women in Leadership (OWL), a 12 month highly immersive learning journey targeting leaders of the future, is one of Capgemini’s solutions to help drive greater gender balance among its top management population. Capgemini leveraged Skillsoft’s content to deliver the program which improved its participants’ leadership, networking, and self-promotional skills, while building confidence and personal presence.

“Leveraging our learning platforms as a tool to involve team members at all levels in the diversity journey is an important part of how we develop inclusive leaders” said Janet Pope, Global Diversity Leader and North America CSR Director at Capgemini. “Diversity cannot progress without critical learning and development programs for men and women.”

The awards were judged by an independent panel of subject matter experts from Skillsoft and SumTotal, along with industry analysts from Bersin by Deloitte, IDC, Lighthouse Research, Nucleus Research and Wainhouse Research.

Daylon Lutzenberger, Chief Learning Officer at Capgemini said: “We are extremely proud to be recognized by Skillsoft for one of Capgemini’s most innovative leadership development programs, Outstanding Women in Leadership. We are fiercely committed to the development of all our leaders but ensuring we have a healthy pipeline of female leaders makes an invaluable contribution to Capgemini’s ongoing leadership readiness. We look forward to leveraging Skillsoft’s content to make this program a continued success.”
