Inauguration of the new Capgemini Morocco Headquarters, at the Casanearshore center

Publish date:

Capgemini, a leading provider of consulting, technology and outsourcing services opened the new headquarters of its Moroccan subsidiary, at Casablanca’s Casanearshore center, today. The inauguration took place in front of Mr. Ahmed Akhchichine, Minister for National Education, Further Education, Executive Training and Scientific Research, Mr. Mohamed Horani, Chairman of the General Confederation of Companies in Morocco, Mr. Alain Donzeaud, General Secretary of the Capgemini Group, and Mr. Philippe Grangeon, Chairman of Capgemini Morocco and a member of the Capgemini Group Executive Committee. The event also saw three executive agreements signed with renowned universities and colleges, designed to strengthen collaboration with the Moroccan university system.  Capgemini is aiming to double its headcount in Morocco, over the next two years.

Present since 2007 in Morocco, today Capgemini has a team of more than 260 in the country. The development of the Moroccan subsidiary is in line with the Group’s approach to global delivery, Rightshore®1 . Capgemini Morocco is currently playing a part in important IT systems development and maintenance projects, for more than 10 major French players, notably in the public sector, energy, financial services and telecommunications.

With the move to Casanearshore, Capgemini is responding to the industrialization strategy of the major French groups, who are looking for partners who are able to work hand in hand with them, on all their IT projects. Capgemini already has a technology services unit in place, along with a SAP offering, which it plans to enrich during the second half of the year. Moreover, Capgemini and Sogeti2, a Group subsidiary, will soon  launch an Infrastructure Management offering.

Capgemini and Sogeti clients will benefit from all the advantages of the first nearshore center in Morocco. Set up in the Casablanca suburbs, Casanearshore boasts high quality reception and infrastructure facilities in a 250 000 M2 space dedicated to tertiary activities, in a modern environment which meets international standards.

To further develop its activities, Capgemini Morocco is looking to recruit the most talented people and to play a major role in training new engineers, in partnership with the Moroccan university system. To this end, Capgemini Morocco today signed agreements with Hassan 1st University, for the Settat Faculty of Technical Sciences (FST); Mohammed V University, for ENSIAS (National Superior School for IT and Systems Analysis), and EMSI (Moroccan School of Engineering Sciences). This cooperation will notably include occupational training and research projects.

For Jean-Philippe Bol, chief executive of Capgemini Morocco and CEO of Capgemini France Technology Services: “We have big ambitions for Morocco, which is at the heart of our Rightshore strategy. Several major French-speaking companies have already been impressed by the quality of our teams and by the excellence of our facilities at Casanearshore, for their entirely secure, modulable premises. Moreover, we are creating a tight, sustainable collaboration with Morocco, illustrated by the partnerships we have just signed with prestigious Moroccan universities. Our commitment to diversify our presence in the country bears this out”.
