They are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cmswire.com\/customer-experience\/4-ways-to-tailor-the-customer-experience-for-gen-z\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the first digital-native generation<\/a>, and they expect a consistent, seamless digital experience in every aspect of their lives. Macroeconomic trends like inflated real estate and education prices form a tight market. When combined with their \u201csoft saving\u201d habits, this uncertainty creates a lack of confidence in terms of wealth and inheritance. This has, in turn, pushed Gen Z into entirely new avenues of finance.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Increased digitalization and the expectations for personalized engagements are the foundation for the innovations that Gen Z is driving. They prefer mobile apps and online solutions rather than traditional cash or card payments. Online success stories have bolstered Zoomer\u2019s faith in cryptocurrency and \u201cmeme stocks\u201d, or social media fueled investment campaigns. While innovative, this reveals Gen Z\u2019s limited knowledge of financial products.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cGen Z respondents averaged the lowest (43%) in answering finance-related questions correctly\u201d<\/em><br><em> \u2013 TIAA Institute and the Global Financial Literacy Excellence Center at the George Washington University School of Business.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n<p>Moreover, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/josephcoughlin\/2021\/11\/16\/millennials-are-banking-on-the-great-wealth-transfer-4-words-why-you-shouldnt-cash-that-check-yet\/?sh=4e67aab42dde\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">by 2030, it is estimated that Gen Z will inherit around $30 trillion<\/a> from their parents and grandparents.
