Las empresas que los utilizan ofrecen mejores servicios adaptados a su p\u00fablico y, por tanto, logran m\u00e1s \u00e9xito que sus competidores. En la industria farmac\u00e9utica, el an\u00e1lisis de datos puede cambiar la vida de los pacientes y profesionales sanitarios que dependen de medicamentos cr\u00edticos y de las organizaciones que los producen o suministran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Como compa\u00f1\u00eda biofarmac\u00e9utica l\u00edder en investigaci\u00f3n, Boehringer Ingelheim posee una gran cantidad de datos que tienen el potencial de generar poderosos conocimientos. Sin embargo, en el pasado gran parte de este valor sin explotar estaba enterrado en fuentes de texto no estructuradas. Para aprovechar mejor esta fuente potencial de informaci\u00f3n y tomar decisiones m\u00e1s basadas en datos, la empresa decidi\u00f3 desarrollar una soluci\u00f3n basada en el Procesamiento del Lenguaje Natural (PLN), un subcampo de la inteligencia artificial (IA) y el aprendizaje autom\u00e1tico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, Boehringer Ingelheim opt\u00f3 por seleccionar a un socio que pudiera aportar la experiencia necesaria para prever, planificar y ejecutar un proyecto de este tipo. Bas\u00e1ndose en los resultados positivos de colaboraciones anteriores, as\u00ed como en su historial de otras soluciones exitosas basadas en datos, Capgemini Invent era una opci\u00f3n natural para este papel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-crear-una-solucion-personalizada\">Crear una soluci\u00f3n personalizada<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Boehringer Ingelheim y Capgemini Invent pusieron en marcha el proyecto en 2020 con una serie de talleres de pensamiento de dise\u00f1o centrados en establecer una visi\u00f3n para la asociaci\u00f3n y explorar posibles casos de uso. De este modo se garantiz\u00f3 que las principales partes interesadas de ambas empresas compartieran un entendimiento mutuo de los objetivos, el valor empresarial potencial y los retos a los que probablemente se enfrentar\u00edan. Los socios procedieron a formar un equipo compuesto por consultores de negocio de ciencias de la vida, cient\u00edficos de datos y desarrolladores de software, cuya experiencia combinada permiti\u00f3 el desarrollo de una plataforma NLP que transformar\u00eda los datos existentes en conocimiento de gran alcance utilizando un enfoque de operaciones de aprendizaje autom\u00e1tico escalable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A continuaci\u00f3n, los casos de uso m\u00e1s prometedores se sometieron a una revisi\u00f3n adicional, que desemboc\u00f3 en un caso de negocio concreto que garantiz\u00f3 la financiaci\u00f3n y los recursos necesarios en funci\u00f3n del valor empresarial que aportar\u00eda. En particular, Boehringer Ingelheim y Capgemini Invent acordaron que la plataforma anal\u00edtica ser\u00eda una soluci\u00f3n totalmente personalizada en lugar de una tecnolog\u00eda est\u00e1ndar. De este modo, los socios podr\u00edan adaptar la plataforma a los requisitos en la medida de lo posible y asegurar la propiedad intelectual (PI) de la empresa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Con un plan en marcha, los socios iniciaron un proceso de desarrollo \u00e1gil que aplicaba principios b\u00e1sicos como el dise\u00f1o, la integraci\u00f3n y las pruebas continuas. Para ello, Boehringer Ingelheim y Capgemini Invent recurrieron a un equipo diverso y completo que operaba en un marco Scaled Agile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este equipo desarroll\u00f3 una arquitectura de plataforma de PNL modularizada y orientada a microservicios que permiti\u00f3 la integraci\u00f3n y el despliegue continuos de servicios relevantes para las partes interesadas, un enfoque iterativo que permiti\u00f3 al equipo gestionar la complejidad del proyecto con mayor eficacia. Las t\u00e9cnicas y algoritmos de PLN facilitaron la generaci\u00f3n de informaci\u00f3n y ampliaron las capacidades anal\u00edticas de los usuarios finales, al tiempo que proporcionaron total transparencia sobre el proceso y las fuentes de datos que condujeron a una informaci\u00f3n determinada. A lo largo de todo el proceso, los socios mantuvieron una comunicaci\u00f3n constante con las partes interesadas para garantizar que los comentarios se incorporaran de forma iterativa y que la versi\u00f3n final de la soluci\u00f3n cumpliera los requisitos de los usuarios y de la empresa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-maximizar-el-impacto-del-analisis-de-datos\">Maximizar el impacto del an\u00e1lisis de datos<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Tras el lanzamiento y las pruebas de un producto m\u00ednimo viable (MVP) en 2021 y una fase piloto en 2022 que demostr\u00f3 el valor empresarial de la soluci\u00f3n, Boehringer Ingelheim y Capgemini Invent desplegaron la plataforma en todo el mundo. M\u00e1s de 100 usuarios con diferentes funciones en el negocio de Boehringer Ingelheim recibieron una formaci\u00f3n que garantiz\u00f3 que el proyecto tuviera un impacto r\u00e1pido y evit\u00f3 la inversi\u00f3n de tiempo y esfuerzo en material did\u00e1ctico m\u00e1s gen\u00e9rico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Una vez implantada la soluci\u00f3n y formados los usuarios, la empresa farmac\u00e9utica puede analizar en profundidad y obtener informaci\u00f3n procesable a partir de datos a los que antes era dif\u00edcil acceder. La plataforma reduce el tiempo necesario para este an\u00e1lisis y mejora en m\u00e1s de un 40% el tiempo de respuesta global a consultas m\u00e9dicas complejas. Adem\u00e1s, estos servicios pueden compartirse en toda la empresa para que todos los usuarios y equipos puedan obtener los mismos beneficios y orientaci\u00f3n. Boehringer Ingelheim y Capgemini Invent esperan que la plataforma aporte importantes beneficios anuales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este proyecto y su exitosa conclusi\u00f3n han ayudado a Boehringer Ingelheim a mantener su posici\u00f3n a la vanguardia de la innovaci\u00f3n en el sector.
