Job Location: New Jersey, NJAbout the position and responsibilities:Job Description:• The resource applying for this position should have around 9-14 years of experience in production support in Finance Industry domain in general and in trading in particular. • She/he must work as level 2/3 resource and own end-to-end Production Support from Knowledge transfer to process definition, implementation etc Essential Job Functions • Be an escalation point for others in the team to bring technical and product issues to resolve. • Responsible for monitoring the production instances for potential performance/uptime issues and initiate corrective action to prevent performance issues and unplanned downtime in accordance client approved change management processes • Remediate all support issues by conducting the Root cause analysis and establish a process to fix the gaps. Demonstrate aptitude towards root cause analysis, problem identification and resolution of day-to-day issues. • Co-ordinate with various support groups / vendors for any unresolved issues and tool specific issues or hot fixes/patches. • Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders Handling ITIL Methodologies like Change, Incident, Problem, and Service Management • Flexible enough to look for solutions that may be ‘out of the box’ and contribute towards resolution of an issue • Should have in depth knowledge of Investment Banking domain in general. Experience / knowledge in Trading / Front Office/Middle Office, Recons is desired Requirements Skills: • Unix, Scripting knowledge, Autosys, SVN, Java • Good working knowledge/proficiency in DB2, Tomcat • Sound Java knowledge, xjs • Must have good knowledge about O/S (Windows/Linux/UNIX) • Must have good hands on with production support and incident management activities. • Strong analystical/debugging skills • Should have good written and verbal communication. • Team player who is ready to take on issues and problems and manage them single handedly if need be Other Skills/Abilities:• Understanding of ITIL Practices • Understanding of Incident, Problem, Event Management
