Planning and Monitrng, Routers, Switches, VLAN, VPNProvide
network administration as a member of the Network Engineering team. This person
will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of network designs that
deliver performance, reliability and scalability. Work with Network Planning to
manage growth plans by monitoring network performance and identifying capacity
needs. 24×7
operation, each technician is required and be willing to work any shift.
Responsibilities (Not limited to those listed below): Travel Required: 25%
Telecommute: 25% Troubleshoot
network software and hardware issues Remote
corrective actions supporting: o Monitoring all functions around the voice and
data network o Responsibly monitoring network and Tier 1 support o
Interface/work with repair/restoration of remote site equipment o Assisting
field technicians in maintenance of remote site equipment Responsible
for cross-training other members of the Network Engineering team to broaden the
knowledge base within the team. Manage
emergency change needs of the business. Proactive
follow-up, effective problem resolution, and end-to-end ownership of the
problems is required. Also requires
proven ability to learn new systems as required to effectively support customer
needs. Must
be team-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must work together with team to build and
maintain effective single point of contact. Excellent
communication skills are required. Ability
to troubleshoot wireless problems using different RF analysis tools Able
to handle and prioritize high call volumes and customer inquiries. Experience
in the Transportation Industry is a plus. Requirements (including any relevant
education, knowledge and experience): Experience
with Cisco WAN/LAN and IPT Technologies Experience
with Cisco and Industry Security Standards Minimum
of 3 years hands-on experience in engineering and administering IP networks Previous
network design experience (required) Experience
with TCP/IP platforms involving dynamic routing protocols like EIGRP and BGP Experience
using network analysis, management and performance monitoring tools (Solar
Winds, Nimbus, PRIME) Experience
in IPSEC and VPN required In-depth
knowledge of TCP/IP Working
knowledge of TCP/IP enhancements such as multi-cast, QOS techniques, bandwidth,
and path selection techniques. Working
knowledge of the configuration and maintenance of routers, access points,
switches, voice-gateways and IP phones. Cabling
experience is a must SIP
knowledge is a must Cisco
Call Manager, Unity Connection and Contact Center is a plus Previous
experience using Security Information & Event Management applications to
monitor network and respond to issues Certifications
