Tech Lead (Java)

Your role as a Tech Lead

The whole client team consists of some 60 great colleagues from Capgemini Finland and India. You will work in the Additional Service team and thus be part of ensuring the functioning of a societally critical pension system in Finland. Your role is to help the client improve and automate their technological environment by identifying bottlenecks and new needs and consequently proposing solutions for tooling and process improvement. You communicate development ideas to the client and make sure that the agreed changes are timely and effectively delivered by the development teams. There are a lot of different stakeholders involved so fluent communication is vital. The technological environment is versatile, and the client is in a transition to modern technologies so there are lots of learning opportunities and room for growth within this role!

Do you have what it takes to work as our Tech Lead?

  • A solid understanding and background in Java EE development (preferably full stack) – however the coding itself is mostly done by our Indian colleagues
  • Understanding of interfaces and integrations in divided services
  • Proficiency in working with Windows and Linux -environments
  • A proactive approach and smooth communication skills in both Finnish and English
  • Ability, willingness and patience to drive development initiatives together with other team members

We appreciate if you have experience or interest in some of the following: DevOps, Spring framework, React, Maven, Kubernetes, microservices, agile methods, cyber security, cloud.
