Secondary Skills:       

  1. Understanding of web analytics / traffic analysis
  2. Proficiency with using internal social media (Yammer)
  3. Exposure to Project Management / Planning
  4. Integrity and accountability to work in an individual contributor role (without active supervision)

About the Role:

The successful candidate will join the India Marketing & Communications (M&C) team as the Webmaster / Editor, Corporate Intranet. The person will be responsible and accountable for managing the Corporate Intranet of Capgemini India and furthering the cause of Internal Communications within India.


This role also supports the Group Communications team, based in Paris, in cascading the global messages within Capgemini India.


The successful candidate will be based in Mumbai and will report into the Head of Internal Communications, Capgemini India.


Job Description:


  • Draft, edit and proof-read articles for publishing on India Intranet
  • Co-ordinate with various business units to gather information and craft appropriate content for internal news articles, messages, newsletters etc.
  • Manage content and continuously update the Intranet pages using the Content Management System (CMS)
  • Create broadcast messages / newsletters using communication builder tools / CMS
  • Adhere with Capgemini Writing and Branding Guidelines in all communication pieces
  • Ensure all content on the Intranet is compliant with accessibility standards
  • Draft, edit and proof-read content for other marketing collaterals, internal mailers, branding collaterals (posters, brochures etc.)
  • Continuously liaise with Group Communications team, understand the content plan for all Group initiatives and schedule local communications plan / local content in sync with the plan
  • Maintain regular reporting through a daily / weekly tracker, with updated status of all the published / in-pipeline / upcoming articles
  • Create and maintain monthly analytics report of the India Intranet and analyze usage statistics to understand specific trends
  • Plan and execute new programs / initiatives to increase employees’ visits to the Intranet
  • Create new engagement programs to ensure returning visitors and to increase two-way interactions with the employee population (e.g. quizzes, knowledge sharing practices, contests etc.)
  • Create new platforms to increase intranet usage and spread internal awareness about the available features
  • Enable business teams to create their own respective pages / information hubs on the intranet and keep them populated with updated content
  • Actively use the internal social media tool (Yammer) to promote the stories published on the India intranet      


Specification / Skills / Experience

  • 2+ years’ experience in content writing
  • Proficiency in Written and Spoken English
  • Degree in mass communication, journalism, media studies or related qualification
  • Ability to manage the work load independently
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects, working under tight deadlines
  • Experience of working with a large organization in a similar role (added advantage)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
