Experience in building innovative automated solutions and tools to help debug and resolve problems in production and prevent them from recurring Should proactively seek out system weaknesses and find ways to fix them before they cause production issues using monitoring data watching trends and using Chaos Engineering Be able understand and implement SRE principles Observability Telemetry Chaos Engineering Automation Understand MTTR MTTD MTTI MTTF To keep web applications up and running complying to Availability goal Working closely with stakeholders and teams to ensure that we ship software that meets security SLA and performance requirements Write Update documentation including runbooks playbooks Automate work including infrastructure needs testing failover solutions failure mitigation Be able to debug production issues be well versed in understanding log traces error codes and monitoring tools Developing CI CD processes to improve cadence Using Chaos Engineering to test what you build under real world conditions Be able to perform understand stress test load test Be able to interpret the results and provide recommendations for improvement Strong experience in Automation Strong experience in Chaos engineering tools Gremlin preferred Chaos Monkey Simian army Experience in Optimizing services Experience in operating Production environments PCF AWS Experience with scripting languages such as Bash Python JSON Knowledge of JVM concepts like garbage collection heap stack profiling class loading etc Knowledge of monitoring tools such as AppDynamics Familiarity with internet protocols such as HTTP DNS TCP UDP and Linux development environment Good to have Knowledge of Dynatrace Splunk Good to have Previous experience with L3 L4 incident management load balancers firewalls
