An overview of the role
The Cloud Infrastructure Services business unit reflects the Collaborative Business Experience, combining Capgemini’s consulting, infrastructure transformation, build and run capabilities, as well as the provision of hybrid cloud-based services in an integrated global sales and delivery model. The group provides infrastructure outsourcing services, including data centre, end user, helpdesk support, as well as market leading services such as service integration and cloud brokering orchestration. The group also provides infrastructure transformation services, helping clients to optimise their technology estates and support business digital transformation.
The UK Pre-Sales Solution Director is a core member of the Sales Pursuit team who works on large and strategic deals in CIS, engaging with clients at CxO level and internal stakeholders to shape innovative and differentiated solution propositions. Reporting to the UK Head of Solutions, you will manage teams of global senior Solution Architects and subject matter experts in the development of a solution, generating proposal responses for prospective Clients throughout the sales cycle (including RFI, RFP). The role forms part of the UK Solutioning Team, leading deals in the region and perhaps beyond.
Why this role?
You will be responsible for driving the solutioning activities for large complex deals (€50M+ TCV) which involve multiple service lines and/or technology domains. Responsible for defining the solution vision, value proposition and transformational direction, which build on the synergies and benefits across Capgemini service offers, translating complex business initiatives into innovative business-technology solutions and ensuring consistency across traditional solution boundaries. The solutions you create will be commercially structured to differentiate from the competition.
You can use your recent experience in working in a pre-sales solutioning role including processes led by 3rd Party Advisors (e.g. ISG, PWC). Your experience will allow you to take on a role owning, costing and implementing large complex Infrastructure Technology Outsourcing (ITO) pursuits, preferably €50M+ TCV with a significant technology transformation component – i.e. workload migration to Public Cloud, data centre consolidations, etc. You will have strong proficiency creating business aligned solutions including key market growth areas; Public/Hybrid Cloud, Cyber security. The successful candidate will be a strong leader and experienced in directing diverse and globally distributed teams to successful outcomes with demonstrated ability to communicate (written & verbal) effectively and to influence at CxO level.
Experience and/or Certification: AWS – Solution Architect, Microsoft – MCSA/MCSE would be advantageous
