Job Responsibilities

Location: Toronto, ON

Type : Full Time, Permanent

Position: QA (Automation)

•Working with business and project teams to review requirements, determine testing scope, develop effective test strategy/approach, and provide QA estimate on resourcing and timeline
•Track & resolve issues in a timely manner, promptly escalate issues, assess risk and impact on quality of production release. Communicate QA test approach, test cases, and results, status, issues and risks with business and project stakeholders.
•Develop automated testing solutions using industry tools. Provide and execute the Automation Strategy with a focus on TDD with continuous Build and continuous integrated testing. Continually ensure there is an adequate level of QE automation test coverage for all responsible applications.
•Plan and support UAT, official sign-off approval on releases
•Champion on agility and improvement in test process. 
•Be able to support after hour or weekend request when needed.

•Strong Technical background: 
o SQL, Unix, Excel, Java, python or any other programming language
o Hands-on experience on function and performance test automation with tools like JIRA, HP ALM, Selenium, Python scripting, beyond compare, ROBOT Framework or other Keyword Driven test automation frameworks.
o Continuous integration process and tools like Jenkins
o QA process and tools – JIRA, QC

•Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Able to work collaboratively and effectively in teams
•Open minded, a quick and continuous learner, self-motivated and enthusiastic about software testing. Demonstrated aptitude for attention to detail.
•Excellent Analytical and problem solving Skills
•Team-oriented and interpersonal skills. Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
