Specification, Skills, Role and Responsibilities

The ideal candidate must have extensive social media experience. This means the person is actively participating in a wide variety of social media activities across a number of social media platforms covering community development and management, social bookmarking, commenting, etc. and is well-connected with the broader social media world.

The Social Media Partner role of the has 4 main objectives:

1. Develop the profile of individuals on the Expert Connect Programme

2. Leverage the experts’ profiles to support business/campaign objectives

3. Support execution of digital marketing campaigns.
4. Program Manage the presence of the NA OBU Leadership presence on Social Media
 

1. Develop the profile of individuals on the Expert Connect Program

Work closely with your set of Experts on the Expert Connect program to execute strategies to drive their thought leadership and to help position them as Influencers on Social Media in their chosen area.

This will be done via a mix of curated content for them to share along with sharing of their own content. Your actions will facilitate conversations across relevant channels and platforms thereby building the program.

  • Work with the NA OBU Leadership team to understand their objectives and apply social media best practices to drive tangible outcomes
  • On board experts to the EC program, work with the team to create their profiles, train them on process and supporting technology.
  • Ensure all expert social, and website profiles are setup, optimized, promoted and managed
  • Coo-ordinate and publish Experts’ blogs, managing the publishing process, ensuring appropriate approvals
  • Regular interaction with the experts and 1:1 catch-ups
  • Work with Social Listening practice to identify relevant influencers for the Experts to follow, and relevant topics on which to comment.
  • Review activity metrics and follow-up with Experts on potential business-related conversations.
  • Produce monthly communication to your groups of Experts with performance highlights and future plans.

 

2. Leverage the experts’ profiles to support business/campaign objectives

  • Ensure that the right Experts are leveraged for all relevant campaigns, working with the Experts to create relevant content in support of campaigns

 

3. Support execution of digital marketing campaigns within NA OBU.

  • Ensure that UTM tagging is adhered to and the campaigns follow the guidelines laid down by the Group
  • Create UTMs and schedule messages in relevant publishing platforms

4. Program manage the Social Media presence of the NA OBU leadership team

  • Ensure that you manage the visibility program diligently, with the PDCA cycle and with timely updates and remedial action

 

Measurement

The role’s success will be measured through KPIs based around:

  • Managing relationship with experts
  • Increase in social media visibility/ presence for the leadership
  • Output of experts – quantity and quality
  • Contribution to program initiatives
     

Primary Skills (Must have)

  • 4 – 7 years social media marketing experience with a Tier 1 IT Services organization, where social media should have been a core role. Or experience in social media in other industries like media, agencies or Fortune 500 companies (in which case technology should be an interest area or a passion).
  • Experience in working in a global environment
  • Experience in working with senior executives
  • Demonstrated creativity and documented immersion in social media (you will be asked to share the links to your own accounts)
