Job Title:- Service Asset Configuration Manager

Job Description:-

  •        Maintain information about the licenses purchased by the client (based on the information provided by the client)
  •        Maintain up-to-date information about the software installed in the clients IT environment
  •        Allocate, track, update, and analyze utilization for the deployment of software to users through an array of software deployment systems across the clients IT environment
  •        Document license key processes (functional flows, logic, rules, server roles, administrative features)
  •        Work with towers and associated software license management team
  •        Develop processes for analyzing, forecasting, and requesting license keys
  •        Develop and present reports and metrics for license management and utilization. Create compliance and related reports for all the software.
  •        Make recommendations and implement continuous process improvements
  •        Work on major licensing model such as Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, SAP.
  •        Identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services
  •        Understand contracts and relationships to maximize value creation and minimize costs
  •        Ensuring that information held in the CMDB is accurate
  •        Leading corrective actions to ensure issues identified within the CMDB are corrected promptly
  •        Adhering to policies and procedures documented in the configuration management plan
  •        Performing configuration audits
  •        Generating, communicating and “actioning” the Configuration Audit reports as per the scheduled CMDB Audit plan
  •        Where appropriate, attending meetings with the clients for discussing the SACM reports & issues.
  •        Generating configuration reports as per the client expectation & schedules and update those reports to the T-room.
  •        In engagements where SACM is in place, closing Change tickets within the time frame as mentioned in the SLA
  •        Ensuring reconciliation of CIs occurs on a periodic basis
  •        Performs the day-to-day overall management of the configuration management processes.
  •        Ensuring that information held in the CMDB is accurate
  •        Coordinates the activities with other service management process managers/Teams

  •        Work towards implementation of at-least 1 process improvement per quarter in Configuration Management Area.
