Let’s talk about the role and responsibilities: 

Capgemini is currently seeking Senior Java Developers to join our Melbourne based team in working with our clients and delivering on innovative projects. You will ideally have very strong hands-on Java skills to be successful in this role and navigate all the various challenges and complexities. You will get the opportunity to work with like-minded individuals and push your java skills to new heights! To get exposed to some amazing projects and our great in-class learning and development resources at your disposal. 

  • Developing Java and J2EE applications
  • Develop and deliver on quality software solutions to functional requirements
  • To provide support in the team with problem solving and achieving best practice in software developemnt
  • Identify and implement improvements to existing architecture and code
  • Conduct regular analysis, testing, programming and debugging

Let’s talk about your qualifications and experience:  

  • Proven hands-on Java 8 or higher experience
  • Experience with Spring MVC and Spring Boot design and implementation.
  • Experience in developing robust and scalable enterprise applications.
  • Expertise in design patterns and clean coding practices
  • Able to use open source technologies and tools
  • Experience or knowledge of CICD pipelines and DevOps will be highly regarded
  • Comfortable working in an Agile environment
  • Experience with Atlassian suite (JIRA + Confluence)
  • Experience with cloud technologies will be beneficial
