SUMMARY

Assist
in ensuring Company procedures, policies, products, and licenses/registrations
are in compliance with state and/or federal rules, regulations and statutes.
Serve as an interdepartmental resource, contact, and subject matter expert for
the Compliance Department.

ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be
assigned.

Monitor,
review and interpret federal and/or state rules, regulations and statutes,
proposed or enacted, as they apply to products, processes, practices and
procedures of the company. Maintain logs
and reporting as requested.Prepare,
submit and track licensing/ registration approvals/ renewals or other filings
to adhere to federal, state or local requirements for company operations.Assist
clients with Department of Insurance complaints in accordance with contract
provisions. Assess complaints for internal quality and maintain accurate
records for analysis, corrective action and reporting.Prepare,
submit and maintain compliance files on periodic reporting requirements as well
as ad hoc surveys and reports.Interact
with various regulatory agencies, clients, contract groups, and partner
organizations as necessary to carry out compliance functions.Monitor,
review, and maintain company compliance and business unit policies and
procedures.Provide
exceptional customer service to internal and external clients.Must
develop and maintain teamwork within the compliance department and set an
example of ethical conduct. Build relationships throughout the organization to
be a valuable compliance resource.

QUALIFICATIONS

To
perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each
essential duty satisfactorily.

EDUCATION
and/or EXPERIENCE

College
degree or equivalent combination of education and/or business related
experience. Legal/paralegal background helpful.

Minimum
of two years of insurance/ TPA experience, or related regulatory experience.

AHIP
and/or LOMA certifications desired.

LANGUAGE
SKILLS

Ability
to read, analyze and interpret rules, regulations and statutes, industry
articles, simple financial reports and basic legal documents. Ability to
respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies
or management. Ability to effectively
present information to management, employees and/or clients.

COMPETENCIES

Excellent
written and oral communication skillsWord,
Excel, PowerPoint and Access Database skills.Ability
to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities in a fast paced
environment without compromising quality or deadlines.Ability
to work independently with minimal supervision as well as with groups or teams.Demonstrated
