SAP Test Lead / Manager is expected to possess an expertise in defining testing principles, processes and methods in order to ensure that testing standards, guidelines, and best practices are applied.

The SAP Test Lead / Manager may interact with the end customer, frequently interacts with internal customers and may be required to participate in on-call or after hours support.

Understanding of SAP ERP , ECC and SAP SD (Sales and Distribution), OTC Processes

ASAP Methodology understanding, ERP – SAP Testing knowledge with understanding of Transaction codes, inbound-outbound processing, iDOCs, integration testing processes within SAP and with other applications.

Able to perform risk management with WRICEF inclusion per project – maintenance / restart / implementation

Ability to go beyond the requirements to ensure system testing scenarios validate the QA of the solution provided and that it will operate within the target environment without error or regression.

Strong Testing concepts, Understanding of Waterfall as well as Agile project delivery

Tools: HP ALM, Jira (XRAY), Solman 

Good knowledge on test script authoring/creation, test suite, test execution and defect management

Knowledge on testing types – Functional, integration, regression, exploratory, String testing, Regression, Ad-Hoc and fair automation testing 

Soft skills to communicate with users, business users, stakeholders, capturing requirements, validating requirements

Complaint over project documentation, procedures, processes details

Reporting : Test Progress from Program to module level, Test execution report and defect analysis, TPR (Transaction Problem Reporting) , Preparation of QA summary for Go No Go meetings

Demonstrable experience working on SAP Processes : OTC (Order to Cash), PTP (Procure to Pay) (Plan to Produce), ITR (Issue to resolution), QTC (Quote to cash), MTO (Market to order) etc.


Good understanding of SAP Automation via CBTA/Worksoft
