The work

In this pivotal role as a Linux Administrator / Consultant, you will be involved in leading and delivering project, enhancements and Live Service support work relating to the SAP project implementations. This is a challenging and multi-faceted role that requires hands-on knowledge of Linux systems, scripted automation, and delivery procedures as well as excellent stakeholder management and work management skills.


As a vital part of our business unit, you’ll contribute to first-class end-to-end solutions in your assignments. You will play an active role in defining our practices, standards and ways of working, and apply them to your role. Be open to working across organisation and team boundaries to ensure we bring the best to our customers.

Why this role?

An experienced Linux Administrator / Consultant is required to support Capgemini’s SAP business unit on the South Coast or in Telford. You will be responsible to help manage SAP environments on Oracle Linux with growth into the Azure Cloud service. Knowledge of automated solutions is essential however desk training and knowledge transfer will be provided to support bespoke applications and SAP’s CPS / BPA batch processing.
Develop and deliver platform related changes including end to end solution designs for new and existing projects requirements (Git / Puppet development, BitBucket / Bamboo deployments, SAP Redwood / CPS / Linux scripted solutions and point to point file transfers based on requirements) as well as supporting technical networked solutions.
