Resource Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain central tracking of all resources to show tagging to active engagements, tagged for new engagements and probability, holiday/leave, bench, training
  • Present resource tracking in weekly sales meeting to senior leadership and sales
  • Understand demand for resources and skills of resources to suggest appropriate placement for client engagements, internal projects and bids
  • Encourages training for bench resources, working with Learning and Development team
  • Suggests placements based on knowledge of resources’ career goals
  • Works closely with staffing partner to ensure that resource demand and supply management system is being utilised effectively in Japan aligned with global process
  • Drives implementation of resource planning tool in Japan, aligning with global resourcing teams

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Confident communicator who is able to communicate effectively with senior leadership in Japanese and English
  • Able to collaborate effectively with Capgemini teams in Japan, and global teams in Asia-Pacific region
  • Strong attention to detail and good organization skills
  • Agile, able to manage frequently changing requirements
  • Experience in a similar resource management role with ability to shape the role to specific business context
  • Strong people skills, able to understand career motivation of resources
  • People management experience
  • Common sense, able to determine sensible solution based on multiple sets of requirements


Language Proficiency:

  • Bilingual (Japanese – Fluent, English – Fluent
