Record To Report – Engagement Lead


Job Role

  • Review monthly journals (Recurring, Reversals, Accruals and adjustments entries)
  • Review monthly Allocations and evaluate opportunity to automate and benchmark with industry practice
  • Review complex balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Review & sign off accounting close for Corpoate Accounting
  • Ensure seamless delivery for Monthly & quarterly close & Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Responsible for complex accounting areas i.e intercompany accounting & reporting etc.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly Controls & Compliance
  • Exposure to Fixed Assets & inventory accounting
  • Exposure Vendor process (Accounts payable type roles & responsibilities (vendor set up , vendor queries etc.)
  • Strong technical expertise in accounting in month end close and intercompany accounting
  • Experience with enterprise-wide applications and accounting systems (such as SAP/BW) are a definite plus
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to develop strategies to resolve problems at their source
  • Ability to design and deliver process as well as reengineer process.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Accounting Principles and their implementation.
  • Review, Analyze and Interpret consolidated data to ensure proper accounting, reporting and controls
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions including strong communications with applicable business partners
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP.
  • Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned​​​​​​​.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Prior experience in R2R domain in BPO environment
  • History of implementation of process improvements
  • Exposure to automation tools (including RPA)
  • Prior experience in an MNC work culture


  • 12-14 years of relevant finance & accounting experience (Retail Industry Preferred)
  • CA / CPA with experience researching complicated accounting issues is preferred
  • Master’s degree in finance/accounting
  • Excellent operational exposure to ERP (preferably Oracle)
  • Working experience of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) at an expert level.
  • Strong in preparation of Power Point Presentations & pitching to internal / external stakeholders
  • Ability to ensure the seamless delivery with high quality, customer focused service on a daily basis in accordance with agreed Service Level Agreement.
  • Experience in monitoring, calculating, reporting SLA/ KPI & managing client communication
  • Ensure SOX, Compliance & Controls etc.
  • Compliance with all applicable rules/ regulations and company group policies.
  • Responsible for following control procedures and maintaining operational procedures
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal direction from supervisor to accomplish business objectives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to interface effectively with clients and peers across organization and Senior Management
  • Strong influencing skills through use of facts and logical arguments
  • Conflict resolution & problem-solving skills
  • Strong ability to handle internal stakeholders
  • Perform Management reporting on all internal as well as client facing topics
  • Effectively lead and provide guidance to the teams to ensure assigned tasks are performed with the highest quality.
  • Strong experienced in Team Handling, People Management & Performance Management
  • Builds supportive relationships with peers, team, management & client
  • Ability to brainstorm in teams and think outside of the box
  • Strong ability to handle & 3rd Party Client
  • Flexibility to work in the night shifts for US based client and stretch during month /quarter ends
  • Ability to work efficiently in environment requiring multi-tasking and working against deadlines.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to analyze the quality and completeness of results quickly and accurately
  • Working Exposure on Lean/ Six sigma project is must.
  • Ability to drive improvement opportunities, controllership enchantments, automations & Robotization etc.
  • Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
