Short Description

Role – Payments Test Analyst _ Chennai _ 2 to 4 Years

Job Requirement – 

Mandatory – 2-4 yrs testing experience in Payments, Collections, Liquidity Management + Experienced or certified in automation testing (Selenium, Tosca, QTP)

Prior Background Minimum 3+ years of experience working in an IT Organization as part of a Payments group, in the role of Functional Test Analyst. Must have experiences in implementation of Payments Product at large banks. 

Primary Skills

  • Experience in Global Payments Processing
  • SWIFT Processing
  • SEPA (Direct Debits, Credit Transfers, Mandate Management)
  • Clearing Systems (e.g. RTGS / ACH / Immediate Payments – CHAPS / FED / CHIPS / Step2 / Target2 / Faster Payments / G3 etc.)
  • Properly analyze the client requirement
  • Scenario identification
  • Test case writing and execution
  • Ability to identify functional defects based on requirements
  • Test Closure Report and Test Reporting
  • Client coordination
  • Complete assigned tasks to client satisfaction
  • Stretch on timelines if required to complete project deadlines
  • Working knowledge of Test Director/ Quality Centre
  • Exposure to Test Management, Test Strategy Preparation, Test Planning, Effort Estimation
  • Should have worked in end-to-end implementation of an IT solution Hands on experience with payment products like Fundtech GPP, Clear2Pay etc is desired

Specifications –


  • Hands on experience on payment systems and exposure to Payments Hub, Clearing and Settlement, Automated clearing house programs
  • Global Payment Implementations with regionalization 
  •  Exposure to financial messaging standards like ISO20022, ISO8583
  •  UML knowledge and working knowledge of BPMN is a plus
  • Corporate payments exposure like reconciliations, statements and file designs
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to map business requirements into required functional components 
  • Lead creation of Accelerators
  • Systems Integration and Interfacing with Multiple Banking Systems and Payment Networks
  • Ensure test procedures, policies, defect tracking and closures are well defined and documented
  • Prepare accurate defect reports, facilitate problem resolution and verify fixes


  • Analyze business requirements and develop Test Design.
  • Create / prepare Test scenarios, Test Scripts, Test Data and Execute test cases
  • Assist the systems analysts and technical teams in the functional implementation by providing clear and unambiguous specifications to enable them to produce quality software that meets defined product requirements. 
  • Develop strong hands on experience in core Payment products and surround systems
  • Help develop test strategy and test plan with close coordination with the Test Manager
  •  Provide clarifications, training and support to the development teams during the construction phase
  • Analyze test environment requirements and provide inputs to Test Manager
