An overview of the role
In this crucial role, you’ll help to ensure that the onboarding process for all new joiners to Capgemini runs smoothly and efficiently, with a strong focus on maintaining a positive end to end candidate recruitment experience. This is a dual role, encompassing hands on administrative work whilst also calling on your leadership / team management skills, as well as giving you opportunities to get involved with project work and process improvement.
Why this role?
Capgemini is going through a period of strong growth, with targets to recruit record numbers of joiners in 2021. Our Offer Management team perform a vital function in the recruitment process, supporting the joiners and the business through the onboarding process and making sure everyone is prepared for day one when the new joiner starts. In this role you would support the team leader, deputising as leader in periods of holiday etc, whilst also supporting your own portfolio of joiners through the onboarding process. Specific duties include:
- Building positive relationships with candidates, with key stakeholders in the business, and with members of the wider recruitment function, offering them support and guiding them through the onboarding process.
- Administering the new joiner onboarding process.•Working with a variety of IT platforms, and keeping key trackers and spreadsheets updated with current and accurate data.
- Providing effective leadership and management for the new joiner onboarding team and service when called upon to do so.
- Providing stakeholder management with Hiring Managers, Candidates, Recruitment teams, HR Business Partners and other interfacing roles within the organisation.
- Supporting on any project work that impacts the new joiner onboarding process, providing subject matter expertise and ensuring new systems and process work and are fit for purpose, with a strong focus on providing a positive candidate experience.
With lots of stakeholders to support and a busy workload to manage, you’ll be calm and well organised, with an ability to proactively manage your time and to prioritise tasks. You may be an experienced people manager already, or you may be looking to move up into a position where you are starting to take on some leadership duties. We are always looking for ways to improve our processes, so you’ll also display a willingness and ability to challenge the “accepted practice” where appropriate, with a drive for seeking out and delivering value add work which enhances the new joiner onboarding service and the new joiner candidate experience. And we can offer you flexibility and agility in your role, giving you the opportunity to take part in project work as well as offering ad hoc support to other functions and business areas when required.
Previous experience of working in an HR or recruitment environment is useful, but it’s absolutely not essential. If you’re well organised, able to build relstionships, and are used to working at pace then we’d like to hear from you. This is a busy role in a busy team – there is plenty to do and you will not get bored!
