An overview of the role

We are looking for Cloud Architects with experience in Amazon Connect, to join our Cloud Infrastructure Services Business Unit. We are looking for people who have real-world experience in helping customers achieve business outcomes with customer experience solutions using Amazon Connect. 

 

As a Cloud Architect who has a passion for Customer Experience, you will work with a range of clients, supporting them in adopting or advancing their use of public cloud services. 
 

The Work

No two projects are ever the same within the Cloud Infrastructure Services Business Unit, we support all business sectors. As a Could Architect you will be expected to have knowledge, confidence, and capability to assist our clients in realising their public cloud strategy – focused on contact centre solutions with Amazon Connect.
 

Why this role?

As a leader in cloud technology, you will drive strategy and innovation to support and improve business capabilities, processes, and applications in the cloud for our clients. Your focus will be on leveraging the Amazon Connect platform and wider Amazon Web Services platform, collaborating with internal and external partners and customers on an international scale.  

You will define and maintain technical designs according to cloud best practices and ensure they are deployed correctly in the cloud environment by your team of engineers. You will also be a champion for agile methodology, enabling a CI/CD toolset to be adopted. 

Specific duties may include: 

•    Development of cloud adoption business cases, from design and implementation of AWS’s Cloud Contact Centre (Amazon Connect) for a global company, to helping drive customer journey improvements through channel shifting or self-service functionally such as chatbots (Amazon Lex). You will evaluate all the relevant levers in a business case to help the customer achieve the right business outcome.
•    Contact Centre Migration; from assessment to execution. As the Cloud Architect you would be responsible for ‘what-to-migration', ‘where-to-migration' and ‘how-to-migration'. You could lead a team of architects and engineers to deliver. 
•    Contact Centre Optimisation and Continuous Improvement. Continual assessment of our client’s contact centre solutions, scoping and proposing recommendations to optimise their business, improve quality or reduce costs. Building proof of concept or customised demonstrations to showcase how service can be improved. You will then lead agile delivery teams through the process of implementing contact centre optimisations. 
•    Contact Architecture & Engineering. Including the deployment of cloud-based contact centres, data warehouses or real-time streaming services and taking responsibility for all non-functional aspects and delivering the functional requirements. 
 

Why you?

As an experienced Cloud Architect with a background in working with contact centers and complex project environments, you will be able to demonstrate your ability to manage stakeholders, influence clients and deal with conflict. You will be business savvy, with the ability to shift from technical to non-technical discussions seamlessly and will have a deeper understanding of Cloud Platform Services (IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS), Cloud Architectures and Cloud Engineering across AWS.  

Successful candidates will be passionate about helping clients achieve their business outcomes. You will demonstratable architecture and engineering expertise in customer experience technical solutions in Amazon Connect and Amazon Web Services (AWS) and will be able to evidence the below capabilities: 

•    Architecting, designing, and delivering whole or part of a significant public cloud project including exploiting technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine leaning, real-time data streaming, database analytics and PaaS & SaaS services. 
•    Expertise in designing customer experience technical solutions such as Multichannel Contact Centers, CRM solutions focused on Customer Experience, Contact Centre Workforce Optimisation/Management.  
•    Can deliver a project using both waterfall and agile methodologies. 
•    experience in Cloud Architecture and Engineering, that demonstrates knowledge of cloud architecture best practices and Cloud Automation / Orchestration tools – within an enterprise context. 
•    understand, and ideally demonstrate, cloud networking beyond VPN integration, with experience of cloud connectivity and enterprise connectivity solutions. 
•    show that you are a motivated professional, that you are abreast of public cloud technologies and how they can drive value for client; ideally you will have the relevant vendor certification(s).
