Job description: • Test mobile commercial applications across multiple handsets adhering to carrier standard checklist. (Specific to mobile.) • Document results of testing and report any defects in a clear and comprehensive manner. • Communicate and follow up any defects with the developer of the software. • Actively investigate interesting new tools and techniques. • Ability to effectively interact with Manager, Team Leader, and fellow team members. • Proactive, great attention to detail, results-oriented problem solver, critical thinker, and ability to meet aggressive deadlines • Passion for testing mobile applications and finding bugs. (Specific to mobile.) • Excellent oral & writing communication skills. • Proficiency using automated test tools & Test management tools (QTP, QC, JIRA) to conduct QA testing activities. • Test mobile applications using tools such as: Eggplant, robotium, selenium, QTP with any of the addins. (Specific to mobile.) • Knowledge of QA methodologies and process orientation. Job specification/Skills/Experience: • Experience on iOS, Windows Mobile/Android platforms, J2ME,BREW, Symbian, Software Application tests include UI, functional/Non-functional and regression tests, device compatibility tests, stress/performance tests, interoperability tests, language/localization tests, automated tests and others. • At least 2 years of relevant experience in Mobile Application and/or Automated/Manual Software Testing. • Exposure to Agile methodology – SCRUM • Exposure to programming and languages such as C/C++. • Experience in Insurance domain will be a plus.
