Splunk Engineer 

•    Creation and documentation of a strategy for index definition and data retention 
•    Complete architecture design and review 
•    Review existing data onboarding procedures and index usage within the Splunk environment 
•    Audit indexing performance within the existing Splunk environment and review associated settings 
•    Audit existing Splunk environment search performance usage and review associated settings 
•    Document and present findings Assist Customer in configuring Splunk to remediate item s found in an earlier assessment Implement Splunk Enterprise instances within Customer environment 
•    Enable collection of data using Splunk Universal Forwarder UF Configure the deployment server for Splunk Universal Forwarder configuration 
•    Assist with configuration of Splunk Enterprise and LDAP Role Based Access Control RBAC Install and configure the Splunk Monitoring Console for Splunk best practice visibility into the Splunk architecture and performance
