The focus of your role
Cybersecurity is a rapidly growing issue globally in an ever complex, digital and interconnected landscape. In today’s world, organisations now face a huge range of cyber threats and we all hear about the daily high profile data breaches that are costly financially and in terms of reputation. Our vision is to provide an inclusive digital cybersecurity offer to enable our clients to achieve digital innovation at speed and scale, with confidence. We are looking for Cybersecurity consultants interested in being part of a rapidly expanding Cybersecurity Management Consulting team. The practice was setup three years ago and has grown strongly over this period delivering exciting and transformative digital projects for our clients. This role will offer you the opportunity to develop your skills and passion in this field across a wide variety and scale of engagements and will provide a fantastic platform to build a long term career.
Our Cybersecurity practice helps our customers protect their digital assets and technology enabled business processes in order to reduce business value at risk, ensure compliance with regulations and build trust with customers and stakeholder. We do this by deploying experts to evaluate cyber risks, redesign their security operating models, run programmes to drive security culture change amongst their people, embed security controls into their processes and
rework their security and compliance regimes to make them efficient and effective as part of the ongoing adoption of new IT operating models that incorporate Agile and DevOps techniques.
The Cybersecurity practice is part of a wider Business and Technology Innovation practice which is one of the leading Business IT Services teams in the UK and Europe. Our high calibre management consultants deliver profitable outcomes in business and IT-oriented environments, working in a collaborative way with major FTSE 100 and Government clients to achieve their strategic goals effectively. This holistic approach offers our clients strong synergies embedding cybersecurity requirements within their wider cloud, automation, innovation and multi-speed journeys.
Additionally, you will be a major contributor to Capgemini’s Cybersecurity offer, in close collaboration with our Capgemini UK IT security practices in other parts of the business.
What you’ll do
As a Consultant or Senior Consultant, you’ll apply existing cyber domain expertise and methods in areas of consulting capability and / or industry or sector knowledge. Our Senior Consultants are experts in the team and typically manage a workstream of consultants and client staff within a broader project.
As a Managing Consultant, you’ll lead the development of cyber domain expertise and methods in areas of consulting capability and / or industry or sector knowledge. Managing Consultants are mentors in the business and key points of contact for clients. You’ll manage projects without daily oversight from Principals or VPs, and be at the forefront of identifying new sell-on opportunities within accounts to which you deliver.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing expertise in the strategic, organisational and human aspects of Cybersecurity;
- Engaging in projects for our clients which transform their Cybersecurity capabilities and reduce business risk;
- Engaging with clients in business and IT to influence the board and stakeholders;
- Developing new security strategies to manage emerging risks in cloud & agile/DevOps operating environments;
- Collaborating with colleagues in teams to deliver security strategy, governance, security testing, identity & access management (IAM) and cyber data analytics;
