Z/OS Systems Programmer | 9 to 12 years | Bengaluru
- To proactively monitor z/OS and related software and to take action to prevent potential issues and to maximise performance
- To improve such monitoring and increase automation where possible
- To maintain robustness of the configuration and to maintain and test the mainframe DR solution
- To deal with day to day support issues related to z/OS and associated software
- To thoroughly document the environment and all activities performed
- To work closely with the client, operations and other technicians to create robust plans and processes in line with business requirements
- To produce technical recommendations and service and stability improvements in line with business requirements
- To gather information and produce reports to satisfy client and vendor requirements such as SCRT reporting
- Strong experience with capacity planning in a multi-CPU & sysplex environment
- Experienced at troubleshooting performance issues in a z/OS environment
- Knowledge of IBM DS8000 family of disks and EMC VMAX disks
- Experienced at tuning an environment with heavy Natural/Adabas, DB2, Batch and CICS workloads desirable
