Who you’ll be working with

This role is a unique chance to join an established technical support team as a Junior Technical Support Engineer working for Capgemini on the HMRC MU.

What you’ll do

With a chance to develop your technical understanding and skills, working as part of a team based in Telford to fault find and resolve technical issues for our end users working on the account.
This is a customer focused role regarding the delivery of a high level of customer service.
In addition to remote support, you will be expected to assist with:
• Mobile solution support
• Software installs
• Building hardware
• PC Configuration
• Assisting with stores tasks
• Developing and implementing service improvements
• Creating and maintaining support documentation
• Once trained working on the Tech Table or Virtual Tech Table assisting end users with technical issues.
• Meeting room technology – Touchscreen TV`s, OWL meeting room devices and Crestron Sound bars
• Basic networking

The tasks can vary and there will be times when you may be expected to visit some of our remote offices in Worthing, Southend, London or Newcastle.


What you’ll bring

Note: You will have lived in the UK for the last five years with no more than 6 months out of the country (in order to meet security clearance requirements). You could be required to work away from home during the week.

  • Self-driven approach with good organisation and analytical skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills who can work with minimal supervision. 
  • A minimum of GCSE Maths and English at grade C (4) or above
