Digital Engineering combines human centred design with modern delivery methodologies to deliver sustainable, scalable and secure enterprise digital products and solutions. We leverage deep specialisations in Microsoft, AWS, Java, React, Node.js and open-source platforms to deliver cloud native applications and cloud integration solutions to assist clients with the digital transformation journey.
Let’s talk about the role and responsibilities
Digital Engineering is currently looking to recruit a Full Time Java Technical Lead to join the team. You will be a highly experienced hands-on developer with a passion and love for managing a team in driving delivery excellence. A highly collaborative team that is focused on designing and developing the best solution for our clients. If you love technology, working with the best and coming up with innovative and creative solutions for clients. The role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide or Canberra.
You will ideally have strong proven Java Development experience (if you have Kotlin experience, we’ll love to hear about it!) and expertise in Microservices and Springboot.
With Christmas break fast approaching, the Digital Engineering team are open to get you to join in Jan 2022 if you are successful. It has been a challenging and long year for everyone! Take a well deserved break and start fresh with us on some exciting projects.
Let’s talk about your capability and experience:
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent degree, with general IT experience and familiarity in Agile ways of working.
- Proven leadership experience in managing, mentoring and leading teams in a onshore/offshore setting
- Demonstrable hands-on experience creating complex Systems using multiple languages.
- Extensive experience in Programming and Applications’ – Design, Build & Deployment.
- Experienced in relevant programming languages/standards in one or more of the following:
- Back-end Dev: Java, Kotlin, Node.js.
- Demonstrate ability in writing unit tests and getting test coverage as high as possible.
- Clear understanding and good experience building, implementing, and interacting with Microservices (including but not limited to REST APIs, JSON, JWT, Postman).
- Cloud based infrastructure experience like AWS or Azure (or PaaS offerings like Tanzu or OpenShift).
- Knowledge and development skills on relational (RDBMS) and NoSQL databases as well as in-memory caches (e.g., Redis).
- Full lifecycle delivery experience in building reusable components covering DevOps, CI/CD and Automated Testing.
