Insurance Programme Manager

An overview of the role:

We are currently seeking a top performing Programme Manager with hands on experience of Insurance technology programme management to join our successful Insurance Practice. 

This is a permanent requirement within our Financial Services Business Unit and the successful consultants will be based in the UK and expected to travel. 

You’ll need to have demonstrable experience of Insurance Products along with a strong understanding of Insurance in general. You will have excellent stakeholder management skills and be comfortable leading a team to deliver end-to-end, from working with the client to gather business requirements to ensuring the delivery of a quality assured solution into production and overseeing the handover of that solution to the maintenance and support teams.

Why this role?

Your responsibilities will include:

•    Own the programme management of end-to-end delivery programme / project for Capgemini clients; leading, coordinating and organising remote teams in a collaborative environment.
•    Apply the delivery lifecycle methods (including Agile) to secure a rapid and safe execution to meet the requirements of the project.
•    Create and develop strong relationships with stakeholders and team members together with any key vendors and / or partners of Capgemini and / or the client.
•    Ensure adequate resources are assigned to the programme and securing the on time delivery of client programmes
•    Produce regular reports and update key stakeholders on the progress of the programme
•    Capture dependencies and ensure these are managed such that the overall programme remains on track.
•    Manage and control changes to scope such that they are made visible, governed and do not put the programme objectives at risk.
•    Manage risks and resolve issues to unblock progress and maintain on track status
•    Manage the financials relating to the programme to ensure it is successful within tolerances laid down by the client and / or Capgemini.

Why you?

You’ll bring the following:

•    Insurance programme management (Guidewire or Duck Creek preferred)
•    Execute programme engagements (AM/Prod Support experience additionally is an advantage)
•    Programme Technical Delivery background 
•    Ability to work and manage scope, timeline and teams to deliver.
•    Have strong skills in managing financials.
•    Should have strong experience of delivery methodologies, including Agile / Scrum.
•    Excellent communication skills
•    Onsite experience short/long-term is important (only offshore experience will be reviewed for interview process on case-to-case basis)
•    Should be ready for short-term travel as necessary.
