scenarios where the ETL process might not involve Informatica at all and can be
built using only shell scripting – if the source and the target DBs are in the
same database environment.
scripting with Teradata and solid understand of Teradata utilities like BTEQ,
MLOAD, FASTLOAD etc. is a must. Work with QA Lead and test engineer and review
high level ETL design, source to target data mapping document and be the point
of contact for any ETL related questions.
ETL and database development work with offshore ETL developers and conduct code
with database administration team and ensure the database is architected and
designed to handle concurrent ETL and reporting query jobs.
level-4 production support for data warehouse jobs.
& unit test Informatica ETL processes for optimal performance.
& unit test Unix scripts for pre and post loading processes.
tune Informatica ETL mappings and report queries.
& Exposure Required:
6 to 8 years
of INFORMATICA ETL Strong UNIX and Shell scripting Database Teradata
/DB2/GreenPlum Strong data warehousing ETL jobs experience required Basic
experience implementing Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence solutions.
experience in Informatica ETL Developer role with strong hands on experience in
developing complex ETL processes using Informatica Power Center.
experience with Teradata
