Job Responsibilities

Role : Heroku Developer

Location : Toronto, ON

Type : Full Time Permanent

 

Role and Responsibility: 

•    3 year experience with Node js and development environments. 
•    Working knowledge of JavaScript and Typescript. 
•    Hands on experience designing, developing, testing and troubleshooting RESTful API and interface specifications, Swagger, YAML. 
•    Experience working with Kafka and or other messaging technologies. 
•    Cloud PaaS, IaaS experience eg. Heroku, AWS, Cloud Foundry etc. 
•    Relational and non relational DB technology Postgres, MySQL, Redis. 
•    AWS knowledge is not required but will be considered a plus. 
•    Strong SQL development and design skills. 
•    Experience working with security gateways and protocols JWT, Oauth2.0, SSL Certificates.
•    Experience supporting production level software Dynatrace, Sumologic, New Relic. 
•    Experience working within professional software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle including coding standards, code reviews, source code management, build processes and testing. 
•    Experience with code merging and branching methodologies using Git and code release process. 
•    Experience with Large scale event driven asynchronous messaging applications. 
•    Strong team player with track record of collaboration and experience working as part of an agile team. 
•    Ability to propose advocate and critique design alternatives to determine solutions. 
•    Good Written and Oral Communications skills.
