Our Invent Rail Consulting Director will be a sought after leading advisor in the rail industry. You will be excited about the possibilities that all things digital and technology bring to transform the railway and its eco-system.  You will be a proven thought leader, who can work with clients and colleagues to bring about this transformation.

You’ll look to build the Capgemini Invent and your own personal eminence in the marketplace through thought leadership and speaking publicly.

You’ll potentially work on a huge variety of projects, from sales to delivery (some larger than others), so you could gain lots of experience in a short amount of time.

Why this role?

Our Sector unit is a small, senior, expert team of industry specialists and we are looking for a Director with deep rail expertise and relationships to join the team.  The Director should be able to help colleagues across Capgemini understand how they can add value to the railway industry transformation and to help clients understand where we can help them.

Why you?

You will be an established Consulting professional with a track record for selling and delivering successful projects for UK rail clients.  It is likely that your career has included a lot of technology enabled transformation, strategy and implementation type projects. 


Business development – utilising a combination of the organisation’s broader pre-existing relationships and your own network to generate Consulting revenue of circa £2m.


Externally in the market, you’ll bring the presence and gravitas to initiate, manage and maintain board / senior management relationships.  To understand and scope out their challenges and potential solutions and to both sell & deliver top-tier consulting and technology enabled business, operations and technology transformation work.  


You’ll enjoy working collaboratively and cross-functionally while building and managing a team, providing direction and helping others to develop. You’ll demonstrate consulting expertise, professionalism and flexibility – you’ll be able to adjust positively to situations that involve changing tasks and/or location, shifting priorities or ambiguity. In fact, you’ll thrive in this environment.  You’ll combine the commitment to own and deliver outstanding work with the gravitas to engage effectively with senior level clients on a peer to peer basis.
