As a result of Capgemini’s continued success there is the opportunity to join the global Cloud Infrastructure Services commercial and contract management function supporting the UK. The team is responsible for providing commercial and contract management support for all business undertaken across the UK and you will be in a key position to support the continued growth of our business. You will be in a client facing role supporting the account Commercial Director on a large UK based public sector account.

Why this role?

You will be responsible for promoting and applying commercial best practice throughout the life of a client engagement to drive value for our clients and Capgemini. You will be the deputy commercial manager for a key UK based public sector account becoming a point of contact with the client and the Capgemini team for all commercial matters. You will primarily support the account commercial team to manage all commercial matters.  In addition, alongside the account Commercial Director you will be responsible for ensuring Capgemini’s compliance with the contract, providing advice on commercial and contractual matters to the account, sales and delivery teams and applying our commercial best practice in the day-to-day management and administration of the account.

⦁    Support the account Commercial Director with the ongoing development of the account to support our clients’ and Capgemini’s business objectives
⦁    Act as the initial point of contact (both internally and for third parties/the client) for all commercial matters 
⦁    Ensure commercial management best practice is maintained within the account (e.g. risk registers are updated and approval processes are adhered to)
⦁    Maintain and continue to develop the day-to-day commercial process, procedure and relationships necessary to support the overall account strategies
⦁    Participate in negotiations with both internal and external customers/third parties for the introduction of scope or other changes, new business lines and renewals
⦁    Escalate issues to the Commercial Director as appropriate
 

Why you?

  • Previous experience of contract management in a large, matrix environment
  • Good understanding of key legal, commercial principles and obligations found in outsourcing contracts (including specific variations that may apply to a particular market/geography because of legislation/regulation or common practice e.g. GDPR, Financial Distress, etc.)
  • Good experience of IT sales and service delivery
  • Client facing skills
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to think laterally
  • Track record of supporting Commercial/Legal issues
  • SC security clearance or the ability to obtain
