Job Title: Data Privacy/Protection Business Analyst
Job Type: Full Time
Data Privacy/Protection Business Analyst is part of a team that operates a global data protection program. Specifically the team will analyze and define, process requirements to support data protection requirements including, but not limited to, data loss prevention, data discovery, data classification, data access and other requirements such as Client Consent.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Document Business Requirements and business rules.
Develop functional specifications for integrating/adopting regional (US) and EU (GDPR) requirements into enterprise target state architecture or specific application.
Work with technology partners to develop technical specifications.
Support data protection processes, tools and service providers.
Optimize the end-to-end use of data protection tools.
Champion data protection and expand the organization’s awareness of policies and leading practices.
Collaborate with business groups to identify, classify, and secure high value data.
Define proactive measures to reduce attack surface including data minimization and data segmentation.
Develop controls to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory obligations.
Produce metrics to demonstrate the benefits of the data protection program.
The role requires a blend of operational, technical, analytical, and change management skills and provides an excellent opportunity to influence strategic plans and tactical decisions.;
5+ years’ of experience in data privacy / data protection / information security;
Experience partnering with business users to implement change;
Technical knowledge of information systems:
Windows and Linux.
Networking concepts and devices (e.g. firewalls, proxy servers).
Knowledge of law and regulations surrounding the financial services sector is a plus.
Knowledge of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery is a plus;
Information Security certification a plus: CISSP, SSCP, CCSP, CISM, or similar.
